Impossible Puzzle

Hi, this is Vince here.

So it wasn’t “tomorrow”, but then again, it’s never tomorrow. It’s always today.

So, anyways, as the title suggests, this post is about the puzzles of Innovation Corporation, and some stuff about frustration.

Like practically all game creators, I want this game to be challenging, but not frustrating. Basically, I want it to not be like this, but not like this, either. Maybe like this… that’s pretty delicious. I do like transportation. And innovation. And horizontal committees, for that matter.

Actually, I try to make all my puzzles feel like World of Goo puzzles. Maybe I should hire Kyle Gabler. I wonder what his fee would be.

P.S. I’m working on “The Indie Game Song”! Here’s a little bit!

Welllllllllllllll…

Most of Edmund’s games are free

And Gabler’s got that awesome goatee!

Well, maybe it’s not really a goatee at all,

But… um… mall?

It’s a work in progress.

Success!

Some of my non-existent fans have noticed that I stopped doing “On the Road to Awesome.” The truth is, I’m still doing them. I’m just not doing them every other week, that’s all.

Coming soon (tomorrow?): The Puzzles of In-Corp!

I realized I didn’t really say what I did in the last “On the Road To Awesome.”

I worked on the physics!

You see, Innovation Corporation is a game partially about blocks, like those in World of Goo’s Chapter 4. In fact, two-thirds of the game are about these blocks. So, without further ado, “Going Up”: My little physics simulator.

Okay, okay, I know this is a day late, but that’s because I have &%$# hNHISOC^%&&b6 9 te6f!!1SWINE FLU! (Okay, okay, H1N1). But enough about me and my *sniffle* heartbreakking illness, let’s get down to In-Corp.

Recently, I’ve been wondering: how does 2d Boy do it?? They put so much creativity, so much brains, so much depth into World of Goo… and yet thay did it in two years and a few months, the goal time for In-Corp.

Maybe I just need more motivation. I dunno, though…

I’ll do this every alternate Saturday. Here’s what I’ve done in the past 12 days:

Megaleg: The boss of the Prologue. (Anybody play Super Mario Galaxy?)

Just a bit of concept art I did on the computer…

A little part of the Prologue, minus the background.
