Hello, people. Nick and Seth want to actually start having a budget, so I decided to lay out a rigid schedule for A Touch of Insanity. If I procrastinate, Nick and Seth, I’m handing this company over to Luke. (I think that’ll be sufficient motivation.) So, here it goes:

8/30/10: Beta period begins

11/11/10: Pre-ordering becomes possible

11/11/10: 6-level demos are released to all pre-orderers

2/1/11: 12-level demos are released to all pre-orderers

2/1/11: 6-level demos are released to the public

4/1/11: 24-level demos are released to all pre-orderers

4/1/11: 12-level demos are released to the public

6/11/11: The game releases!

6/11/11: 24-level demos are released to the public

Note: All the 1s and 11s are in honor of our fallen original planned release, rest its soul.

It’s a mini-vlog! Tell me if you think my amazing special effects skills ramped up the quality. I’ve got one relevant to AToI coming tomorrow.

Tip: Don’t watch this fullscreen. My lips look weird.

And from the ashes or something, there was this:

Hello, everyone! After two long months (of trying to beat the second level of Bit.Trip Core) I’m back! As they’ve told you imaginary readers, we have two new 3d animator/programmers: Nick and Seth Welna! They remade this website over the past few weeks.  At the moment, they’re experimenting with Unity. Also, there’s the Pyshics Blocks and the Mystery RPG. Coming whenever.

Getting Stuck While Climbing a Fence that has a Gate

Okay, so about that picture. I think, in that picture, I represent A Touch of Insanity. The fence represents my incredible procrastination, and me getting into the neighbor’s yard to give their 15-year old arthritic Golden Retriever food? Maybe? Okay, I guess not. I just kinda wanted to include that picture, because I think it’s a kind of some Gary Larson-style humor.

Anyways.

I have decided I will do a blog post once a week, alternating between these post subjects:

1) The creation of A Touch of Insanity

2) GameWay Studios in general

3) Gaming in general

4) Random crap

So, yeah. Expect me to make my next post on Saturday.Or something. Bye.

By the way, I think I may have given a bit of awesome to my brother…

“I’ll get you this time, geckos!”

Update: Also, BEST 404 PAGE EVER.

Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games and I share a common… um… link? Sure, why not. That link (would it be link?) is that we both have last names (Dzik) that nobody can pronounce correctly. Of course, he’s a grown man, has games on WiiWare, and some other stuff, but still, you know. A link nonetheless.

Yesterday I submitted some fan art to their page, and lo and behold! It’s up! I know. That’s how amazing I am. I mean, check out that pixelated Commander Video! And that mess-up of the quote “I am only a man”? Classic!

Also, three people that I don’t know have registered to this site. If you guys are spammers, please say so now.I understand that not that many people know about the website, but still. It’s a start.

Continue rocking. Over and out.

Okay, I’m not typing this in. I’m down in my basement, watching Ryan Seacrest. I hope that’s how you spell it.

But enough on me using the “Schedule Publish” feature. After extensive research taking the ratio of levels X how long it takes to make a level taking a random guess, I’m ready to announce the final release date of AToI: 6/1/11. I imagine it’ll take me at least until 8/10 to finish the animation, then until 4/11 to finish the programming. Then I have to pad my resumé. And promotion. So, just to clarify: this may not be the release date. This is the LATEST release date I will allow myself.

Okay, everyone! This is (Vince/SPARTAAA!!!) I have some updates and explanations…

1) If you’re wondering about our last post, that’s from Duncan. Our composer. Just to warn you, he won’t write any “normal” blog posts. Ah well.

2) Innovation Corporation programming just screeched to a very abrupt halt as my mother forbade me from  purchasing Mac OS X Snow Leopard until after Christmas, which is required to run XCode (in turn required to run GCC). Also, we’re having some other delays, so don’t expect our 1/1/11 planned release date to make it. Maybe it will, but maybe not. I still plan to finish it by the end of middle school (sometime around 6/10/11).

3) It’s not Innovation Corporation anymore!! Upon finding that innovationcorporation.com was taken, I changed the name to A Touch of Insanity, and purchased the domain immediately.

4) To prevent said delays in item #2, I may use a pre-made physics engine (like ODE, 2dBox, and those kind of things).

Well, so long…

Well, the revolution is over, just like that. All in 40 minutes. Please, don’t  cry. Anyway, The Composer is happy to announce that musical production is at a yearly high, and he expects at least 10 songs ready by Christmas. So Merry Christmas, Jesus, you just go your present.

Note from Vince: Duncan, I just created you an account. Merry Christmas. So you can stop hacking mine.
