Attention: Successor

Remember the game I talked about a few months ago? The one with the spaceships and the lasers? Well, for all us awesome people who were awesome enough to buy the awesome premium content (of awesome), we got…

Yep, that’s right, the picture on the right is of Captain Successor, the aforementioned premium content of Captain Forever. Here’s my review. Or, something of the sort.

First, if you haven’t read my earlier review, go read it now. I’m too lazy to make another link, so click on the one that says “the game I talked about a few months ago…”. Okay, now you’ve read it. Wonderful.

So, CS is a lot like CF. But, if you’ve played CF (it’s available to anyone now, which is awesome for all you cheapskates) you’ll notice that that big freaky orangey-yellow spaceship has quite a few things that the past games had. I’ll explain in the following paragraph.

Yep, it’s the following paragraph of the previous paragraph. Continuing, in CF, there were basically three types of objects: Girders, Boosters, and Lasers. In CF, there are four: Girders, Boosters, Weapons, and the ever-so-hard-to-find Other. (no, they’re not actually called that in the game.)

Girders are basically the same, although now there is also a wider variety of sizes, and some special properties (extra defense, for an example). Boosters now are very varied, with normal, twin, and these weird ones that can rotate. Nextly, there are weapons. There are are the standard lasers, prismatic lasers, elongated lasers, rocket launchers, missiles…

…and you get the idea. I’m not going to spoil “Other” for you, but just wait until you get to Kilo level.

Terminating contact,

Eris.

Or Vince. Whichever.
