I don’t know if I’ve made this announcement online yet, but here it goes: the art style for In-Corp is a mixture of hand-drawn and computer-generated. I’m aiming for the hand-drawn feel of Blueberry Garden, the detail of Braid (kinda) and the weirdness of World of Goo. So… uh… here’s the first level. (So far I’ve drawn it and Gimp’d it a bit to fix scanner limitations. It’s not very done yet.) It will be. Sometime.

Crappy Title, huh. Well, it’s Luke again, but who really cares, so let’s get to business: About the title of In-Corp. Just for some information, the title used to be Paril. We decided to change the title to Innovation Corporation for 3 reasons. If you’re interested.

1) If you go to paril.com you see a Russian guy (I think he’s Russian) on the toilet, and unless you can read Russian don’t try to read it. Also, Vince didn’t want to have to deal with an angry Russian in court. That’s reason #2. And, finally, reason #3: “Paril” has absolutely nothing to do with the game, where Innovation Corporation does. Plus Innovation Corporation is a more catchy name.

if youve read any of my earlier posts youd know i normally have time for capitalization and punctuation but im bursting to tell you about something that is epic freaking awesome… one sec let me have a second to regain my punctuation… There we go.

What do spaceships, the name “Charlie”, boosters, ninjas, and Greek Mythology all have in common? I can’t think of any, except for that they’re all really awesome. BUT, if you change “ninjas” into “web-based gaming” (another awesome thing!), they would have TWO things in common: they’re all epic freaking awesome, and they are all part of Captain Forever!

Captain Forever (website HERE) is a game by Farbs (website HERE) who is very awesome. And makes epic freaking awesome games, as a bonus.

Captain Forever puts you, a tiny red spaceship names Nemesis, in the depths of space. Talk about cruel. Suddenly, a little green spaceship kind of floats up to you and self-destructs, leaving all its different pieces intact. You grab a hold of these pieces with your mouse and weld them onto your spaceship. You get two lasers, two boosters, and

four block-type things. Then, you zoom through space, attacking enemy ships (with Greek Mythology names) in your little retro-style way. If you blow them up, you get some of their stuff. Lucky you. Then, you weld them on in real-time, sometimes doing so while fending off enemy attacks. But sometimes you will face challenges in your ship-building. And not just “oh, where should I put my charlie-level laser with 500-point damage?” I mean balancing. Each object and object subcategory has its own weight, and each booster has different strength. Being the math nerd I am, I had some fun struggles figuring out where to put everything.

Plus, you can support the game (let’s just call it pre-ordering) for only $15! And it’s already worth, like, $14.86! That’s

just 14¢ worth left for him to do! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?? GO OUT AND SUPPORT THE EPIC FREAKING AWESOME GAME!

9/10 for sure.
